Launching Question: What is your fondest holiday memory? What is your funniest holiday story of something not going according to plan?

1. What do you tend to worry about most? Please explain.

2. Explain how worry and trust are related? Be specific.

3. In what ways does viewing happiness as a goal vs. a result affect decisions and behaviors?

4. Why do you think Jesus turned from the crowd and addressed this message specifically to the disciples?

5. Read James 4:8. In what ways do you best ‘draw near to God’?

6. Describe an element of this week’s message that you found impactful. How will you incorporate this truth into your discipleship? What one change can you make this week to reflect this?
